Medicus Projects delivered a 3,000m² high-end design and construct day surgery facility for Fortius Healthcare at 291 King Street, Newcastle.

The project comprised four fully compliant operating theatres, 35 recovery bays, sterile processing areas, consulting suites, and associated clinical and support spaces.

Delivered in accordance with BCA 2022 Amendment 2 and the Australian Health Facility Guidelines (AusHFG), the facility incorporates complex mechanical, electrical, medical gas and infection control systems to meet stringent healthcare compliance requirements.

The completed hospital provides a premium surgical environment designed for operational efficiency, patient comfort, and long-term clinical performance.
